Thank you so much, @Chirag Sharma! I really appreciate your kind words—and totally agree with you on the “hope you’re well” fatigue.

It’s so true what you said about role tenure—such a powerful insight when tailoring outreach. I’ve found that even just acknowledging where someone is in their journey opens the door to a more meaningful conversation.

And absolutely—steal away! The tech ecosystem piece has been a game-changer for me in creating real relevance from the first touch.

Let’s keep sharing ideas—love learning from others who get it too!

I completely agree @Ndacorsi0218 —acknowledging where someone is in their role or career journey instantly makes outreach feel more genuine and relevant. It’s amazing how something as simple as that can open doors to deeper conversations. And yes, the tech ecosystem angle really helps to create context that resonates right away. Definitely looking forward to continuing this exchange of ideas—there’s so much to learn from others who truly get the nuances of personalized outreach!

I have been writing articles in the Newsletter I created on LinkedIn. I realized that this way I can promote my services to potential clients who come to me because they identify with the content I publish.

Consequently, I noticed that the level and quality of patients increased. They are also a better fit, which saves me time from responding to people who came through ads and were rarely willing to commit to psychotherapy. Those individuals often came from a place of need, seeking "help" in a way that was far from seeking a professional who expects to be compensated.

When I started writing articles without the specific intention of them serving as a means of promotion and patient acquisition, I noticed it created a path that brought what I had been seeking in ads, which had not yielded good results and mostly wasted my time.

Thus, I realized the great potential of the LinkedIn Newsletter as a much more effective way of acquiring new patients who are drawn by a sense of identification with my work. Through Sales Navigator, I can search for my target audience and establish connections with people who then start following the Newsletter. In this manner, I have been able to achieve my objective infinitely more precisely than through ads on various other platforms.

There are going to be different approaches depending on what you’re trying to converse about or sell I think and there has been some great suggestions above.

One lens I am always using is the relationship filter, as those second level connections are much easier to qualify in or our (through your first level connection), get access to (referral from first level connection) and gain some insight about their style, personality and situation  (as well as timing insight) and hence a quicker route to sale or qualifying out.

Human relationship is so often overlooked, yet differentiates us, and is a sales shortcut.

    Best wishes,

Absolutely agree, @james22 James. The relationship lens is such an underrated shortcut. People buy from people they trust — and warm connections often open the right doors faster than cold outreach ever can.

Hi @Kamille_Community Manager Here’s my approach to researching prospects and tailoring outreach in Sales Navigator:

    Key Details I Look For:

    • Recent activity and content shared: If a prospect has posted or engaged with content in the past month, it’s a strong sign they’re active and open to new connections. I reference their posts or comments to open the conversation.
    • Job changes or promotions: I look for prospects who’ve recently changed roles or companies—this is a great trigger for a warm, relevant outreach.
    • Mutual connections and TeamLink paths: I check for shared connections or TeamLink introductions, which help establish trust and boost response rates.
    • Company news and growth signals: I track companies mentioned in the news, recent funding, or leadership changes, as these often signal new initiatives or needs.
    • Function, seniority, and department growth: I filter by role and department size to ensure I’m reaching decision-makers in expanding teams.

How I Use These Details to Tailor Outreach:

    • I start messages by referencing something specific—like a recent post, a job change, or company news—to show I’ve done my homework and make the outreach feel personal.
    • If we have mutual connections, I mention them or ask for an introduction to warm up the conversation.
    • For prospects at companies with recent growth or changes, I highlight how my solution aligns with their current priorities or challenges.
    • I adjust my messaging based on their role—focusing on strategic outcomes for leaders, or practical benefits for end users.

This targeted approach not only increases my response rates but also helps build more authentic, trust-based relationships from the very first touchpoint. Looking forward to learning how others personalize their outreach!

Love the precision you have to say.

On LinkedIn, hat interests me first whenever I look up any contact on LinkedIn is checking out what Company they are working for and then quickly looking which industry does the company belong to.

Then I look at the work history and education of the contact, to find common strings that might attach us.

Usually the combination of company/industry/education/work ex has one or more common threads that makes it very easy for me to initiate communication with the contact, with some personalization.

This habit has helped immensely on Sales Navigator as well, with a lot more info now prepopulated by the AI engine for us, making it easier to see common interests/school/college or work. I have also used the Lead IQ feature extensively of late, to find more about the priorities, work areas and initiate a connect.
