Hello, Community members.

As you’ve probably seen by now, in this quarter's Product Release, we've announced the Next Generation Data Validation, which include the new enhanced CRM Badges* and improved Data Validation Flags*. These new enhancements will be key to indicate within Sales Navigator lead profiles when the CRM does not reflect recent changes (like when someone has left an organization, changed job titles, or moved locations).

Please see below further detail on the requirements and considerations Admins and Programs Managers should consider on how to enable their teams to start leveraging these.

Requirements

  • CRM Sync must be enabled (D365 of SFDC)
  • End user requires read write permissions on lead/contact records in the CRM
  • Custom validation rules that are not supported
  • Important Note:  Sales Navigator respects all of the permissions are set in the CRM

This feature sounds awesome! What should I consider before enabling it ?

  • Does your organization create net new contacts any time a person moves to a new organization?
  • Does your organization require all CRM updates to happen within CRM?
  • Does your organization have particularly stringent CRM rules?

As a Sales Navigator Admin / Program Manager who should I talk to before enabling update contact/lead records?

We recommend you discuss this new feature with your Sales Operations team and CRM administrators to determine how this will work with your existing sales processes and systems.

Can we test in Sandbox first?

Yes! The ability to update out-of-date contacts and lead can be tested in Sandbox environment prior to launching in production.
