Hi Community members,

Happy Monday and happy May! To kick off the new month, we’d like to share the first post for the Community Challenge: Learn to Become a Top Seller with Sales Navigator in 9 Weeks.

Top performers focus on accounts with the most whitespace. And how do they do that? One quick and simple way to start is by uploading your book of business to Sales Navigator. Telling Sales Navigator which accounts you are focusing on supercharges the platform and extracts valuable insights like real time alertsbuyer intent signalssmarter search results, as well as the next best action.

Week of May 1’s tasks:

Completing one task below will count as one entry for the first drawing of this challenge. Remember that you must complete all the steps in one task for your entry to count.

There are two tasks this week: “Master the best practice” and “Community action,” and everyone has the equal chance of two entries from this week.

🔲 Master the best practice:

  1. Visit the one-pager on our Learning Center to understand how you can unlock the full potential of Sales Navigator by uploading your book of business.
  2. Take the poll below to share how you upload your book of business.
  3. In the comments below, share one benefit you have seen that resulted from uploading your book of business or a tip with your peers.

🔲 Community action:

  1. Check out the “My Current Accounts List” post in the Community and like the post.
  2. In the comments of the “My Current Accounts List” post, share how you distinguish your account lists. For example, do you have Account Lists organized by the geographic location, the industry, the company revenue, or something else?

Reminders:

If this is the first time you’re hearing about this Community Challenge, visit and subscribe to the intro post for how the challenge works, the challenge schedule, how to win prizes, and any updates we’ll be sharing.

We will also be adding all 9 best practices posts to the “related posts” section on the challenge’s event page so they are easily accessible in one place. Please note that you don’t have to click “attend” to be able to participate in this challenge and that you are free to participate at any point during the challenge timeline (May 1 to Jul 3 11:59pm PST).

If you have any questions on the tasks of the first week or the rules of this challenge, don’t hesitate to let us know. We look forward to hearing your tips and wins around how you’re able to supercharge Sales Navigator by uploading book of business!

Though I’ve had existing account lists in Sales Navigator, I took this opportunity to update with a few new ones, and immediately saw an update that a key person had left one of the companies in April, a detail that I may have missed otherwise!

@Dustinlevy It’s great to see that discovered that one of your champions left the company by participating in this challenge! Maintaining existing account lists is a fundamental step to be aware of the recent changes that can impact connections greatly. Thank you for sharing it with us!

By doing this task I could evaluate in a glance the accounts insights that are relevant for my offered services, i.e. the Risk alert about reducing their headcounts. Time saver! 😊

@cosmina.coman Thank you for sharing that with us and I must say, I love the GIF. This is how we feel about Sales Navigator and the features it supports sales professionals to win the game. 🚀

I love to see that you enjoy participating in this challenge! I’d also like to encourage you to complete the “Community action” every week to enter the draw for prizes! 🤗

I love the ability to upload my BoB via CSV.

One benefit I’ve found is that it’s a HUGE time saver, especially if I can scrape a CSV with company name and website.

I like to use Apollo to create searches and then export the companies that fit my search criteria.

Then from there I take that CSV and upload it to sales navigator.

This saves me a ton of time when finding new logos vs having to save them 1 by 1 to an Account List from an Account Search.

🥁 We have the first winner of the Challenge, check it out here!

Don’t forget, we have 2 more drawings in 3 and 6 weeks again, and that is just one way to win prizes! You can also become an author of an upcoming Member Featured article or a Roundtable speaker in the Community!

Dear Members of this AWESOME Community which I am honored to become a member of, I need assistance with setting upmy book of Business but now I realize that I didnt set my Lists properly. Can I have some practical guidance please?

Hi @The Crowing Rooster, Welcome to the Community, great to have you here with us! 😊 That is such a good learning, that you realized that your lists are not what you are looking for. Do you need help with finding the right people and accounts? If I understand you correctly, I recommend you to check one of our Best Practice posts which is part of the Challenge as well and join the competition.

Finding the right accounts is fundamental and the Community has more tips on using Advanced Search. I add here a few for you:

Have you discovered the Learning center yet? I believe you will find the Sales Navigator;Essentials live training (next is in June 6) or the learning path

Please let me know if it’s helpful. 🙂
