📣 What is a Community Monthly Win Competition?

Early each month, we invite all Community members to enter the monthly competition by completing a task or ask in a certain timeframe, usually about three weeks. At the end of each competition there will be a random draw that determines our winner! It’s worth joining each month to increase your chances to win LinkedIn swag. Remember that the goal of these Monthly Competitions is to help members discover Community discussions, resources, and features that will improve your virtual selling strategy and activities.

📋 What are the rules around this Monthly Win Competition?

  • Participants must be in the Sales Community and over 18 years old.
  • The entry period runs from now, February 4th, until February 28th  11:59pm PST. For each entry to count, you must submit it within this timeframe.
  • After the entry period, the Community team will do a random draw with the names of qualified participants.
  • The winner will be announced on March 3rd.
    • If there is only one qualified participant, that participant is automatically named the winner without the need for a draw.
  • For further details on the Monthly Competition, please read the official Community Contest rules here.
  • Disclaimer: Your comment can be re-shared without additional permission in any upcoming Community post, article, or resource.

Best of luck to everyone! We can’t wait to see your responses below.

Biggest Sales Challenge: Increasing our referrals

How we’re tackling it: Social for Social Good campaign idea to increase our referrals and help save lives. Donating to give people an extra motivator to make introductions.

We run a social media agency, but my hubby and Co-Founder used to work as an addiciton professional. Last year we started a podcast to champion the work of addiction professionals called The Addiction Recovery Place Podcast. We interviewed one professional from every state and heard from front-line workers how bad the fentanyl crisis is. Inspired to do something to help combat overdoses, we came up with our Social for Social Good campaign.

We are so excited to see how many doeses of life-saving medication we can donate this year! We’re just getting started, but we’re hoping it gives people that extra motivation to introduce us to more people wanting our affordably priced social media service. Growing our business, giving back to our community, and helping save lives. I am just beaming with enthusiasm just writing about it!

Please like and share our Social for Social Good referral program post that can help save lives.

Here’s the text from our Social Media post.

OfficeHounds Social Media Agency will donate $50 every month to fund at least 2 doses of life-saving opioid overdose-reversing medication to an addiction recovery non-profit for every new customer who mentions Social for Social Good when they place an order.

One social media customer who works with us for a year can save 24 lives! All you have to do is like and share this post to help spread the word.

Some of the challenges we face is as below:

  • How do we get a 1st meeting setup with a lead/prospect especially in the current economic situation. Either individuals are too buys, no budget, budget cuts, lack of clarity and many other challenges make setting up that first meeting a difficult task
  • How do we capture someone’s attention on our social post within the first 2 seconds for the leads/prospects/clients to notice us with the high level of noise/content overload on social media

We are making use of the account IQ to learn and understand about the business challenges and strategic priorities for that specific account. Also the insight we get in terms of which specific team within that organisation are recruiting and growing

To capture attention, we need to have unique ideas and think outside the box. Sometimes it is better to listen first and comment/like on your leads/prospects post so they know we exist and care
