Happy November! Wow, where did October go? 🤯 We are officially in the final stretch of the year, which is an exciting time of the year but can also be overwhelming with the (soon) holiday rush + festivities and year-end deals. To kick off the month, I am excited to launch November’s Monthly Competition in the Community! Make sure you follow all the steps below to enter this month’s competition and check out the summary and rules if you need a reminder for how the Monthly Win Competitions work.

  2. First, if you are on the Advanced or Advanced Plus plan, let us know if you've leveraged the .CSV Upload feature in Account Lists?
  3. Next, for all license holders, comment below on how you organize/segment or update your various Account Lists in Sales Navigator.

 

If you don’t have your book of business (list of accounts) in Sales Navigator yet, here are three ways to get them onto Sales Navigator:

*The first option is available for Advanced and Advanced Plan, and the second option is available for only Advanced Plan with CRM Sync enabled.

 

📣 What is a Community Monthly Win Competition? 

Early each month, we invite all Community members to enter the monthly competition by completing a task or ask in a certain timeframe, usually about three weeks. After the entry period, everyone (including the participants) can vote on who they think did the best job and should win the competition before the end of the month. Remember that the goal of these Monthly Competitions is to help members discover Community discussions, resources, and features that will improve your virtual selling strategy and activities.

 

📋 What are the rules around this Monthly Win Competition?

  • Participants must be in the Sales Navigator Community and over 18 years old. 
  • The entry period runs from now, Nov 1 to Nov 22 until 3:00pm PST. For your entry to count, you must submit it within this timeframe.
  • After the entry period, the Community team will launch a poll with the names of qualified participants for other everyone (including participants themselves) to vote on between Nov 23-29 on this post.
  • The participant with the highest number of votes will be announced the winner on Nov 30.
    • If there is a tie, the Community team will use a random drawing to determine who the final winner is.
    • If there is only one qualified participant, that participant is automatically named the winner without the need for a poll.

I have my target accounts in Sales Navigator. We also used the upload function via CSV (2 times).


Hi @Eva Chen​ ! Awesom question and great reminder of the CSV feature that I am not really using 😅

Regarding account organization, I find it helpful to segment the clients by sectors, since I am working on different sectors, for example: retail, hospitality, fashion etc. Developing sectoral knowledge, is crucial to understand how each sector is evolving and use this kind of information to engage with the target later.

I also have seperate lists with competitors, partners, and ecosystem. This helps me keep an eye of the market and do some business scanning activities.

Finally, I perform segmentation based on activities to keep track of buyers engagement. For example, I have a list with buyers to whom I sent an inmail or a connection request and a list with the people who answered or accepted the connection. This is useful, if you want to follow quantitative engagement KPIs.
