Happy Monday and happy October! 🎃 Can you believe we’re down to the last quarter of the year? I am excited to launch October’s Monthly Competition in the Community! 🎉 Make sure you follow all the steps below to enter this month’s competition and check out the summary and rules if you need a reminder for how the Monthly Win Competitions work.

📣 What is a Community Monthly Win Competition? 

Early each month, we invite all Community members to enter the monthly competition by completing a task or ask in a certain timeframe, usually about three weeks. After the entry period, everyone (including the participants) can vote on who they think did the best job and should win the competition before the end of the month. Remember that the goal of these Monthly Competitions is to help members discover Community discussions, resources, and features that will improve your virtual selling strategy and activities.

 

📋 What are the rules around this Monthly Win Competition?

  • Participants must be in the Sales Navigator Community and over 18 years old. 
  • The entry period runs from now, Oct 3 to Oct 23 until 11:59pm PST. For your entry to count, you must submit it within this timeframe.
  • After the entry period, the Community team will launch a poll with the names of qualified participants for other everyone (including participants themselves) to vote on between Oct 24-30 on this post.
  • The participant with the highest number of votes will be announced the winner on Oct 31.
    • If there is a tie, the Community team will use a random drawing to determine who the final winner is.
    • If there is only one qualified participant, that participant is automatically named the winner without the need for a poll.

My favorite new Sales Navigator feature/enhancement is: The buyer intent dashboard

 

Why? I don't like automation when it comes to the very process of outreach. There are human beings at the other end of the screen and I want to have a conversation with them - for starters - which is 100% authentic and real.

The buyer intent innovation which can be found now within the Sales Navigator automates and structures the "Listening" part I go through before I manually start a conversation - that's perfect. No one on my clients' end will notice if I don't tell them and so it truly makes my process more efficient without interfering in my "outreach style"

How I plan on using it: Within the F.L.A.T. framework I use (Find, Listen, Appear, Talk), I can now focus on the automated flow of potential clients interacting with my company and process them with automated Find, Listen and assisted Appear and manually start the Talk with them 😉 - awesome!

I’m sure most of us will agree that the Buyer Intent set of features is the queen of this release. The ability to follow the buyer’s journey in order to reach out to the right people at the right time is priceless. 

 

Nevertheless right now I'm enjoying the features that help speed up our searches and fill the top of the funnel. 

 

⭐️ Lead Panel is what we needed to stay on the Lead Page and research our prospects. The Account insights is especially helpful for me. We’ve got key information without leaving the search results or going back and forth while prospecting. 

 

⭐️ I’m also loving that we are able to save Leads from LinkedIn. Hopefully in the following releases we will be able to save them directly to a relevant lead list and this will be the first of more strong integrations with the LinkedIn platform. 


My favourite new feature might sound simple, but it saves me quite some typing and time:

📌 Pinning filters allows to me to keep a few search filters the same, while adapting my individual search with another search filter.

It's easy now to refine my lead and account searches and then qualify them in the saved searches.


My favorite feature is the ability to find Account insights by job function. It is such a great tool to quickly focus on your relevant audience and then use smart links to engage with the specific cohort. A power tool then is to use Account Mapping to target the right people. I have used these tools to effectively win business. So, powerful when you are in such competitive and dynamic market that helps you differentiate from competition.

Pinned Filters 📌 - Great for modelling a baseline search criteria, making it faster and easier to build out more specific filters and get to results faster.
