Hi Community Members,

It feels like January flew by in the blink of an eye and we are already in February! Looking back, the last few years brought so many changes that we needed to quickly adapt to keep up. During times like these, there are some golden rules that we keep for ourselves as a crutch for our growth and success. This month I’d like to ask you: what is your golden rule, or best practice as you might call it, that you hold on to in your sales activities when using Sales Navigator? What is the one thing that, if you had known it earlier, would have saved you a lot of time?

📣 What is a Community Monthly Win Competition?

Early each month, we invite all Community members to enter the monthly competition by completing a task or ask in a certain timeframe, usually about three weeks. From now on, we will keep the competition open for the entire quarter for you, while we open two more posts to participate. At the end of each quarter there will be a random draw where each competition entry counts! It’s worth joining each month to increase your chances to win a LinkedIn swag or Virtual Recognition*. Remember that the goal of these Monthly Competitions is to help members discover Community discussions, resources, and features that will improve your virtual selling strategy and activities.

📋 What are the rules around this Monthly Win Competition?

  • Participants must be in the Sales Solutions Community and over 18 years old.
  • The entry period runs from now, January 9, until March 25 11:59pm PST. For each entry to count, you must submit it within this timeframe.
  • After the entry period, the Community team will do a random draw with the names of qualified participants.
  • The winner will be announced the winner on March 26.
    • If there is only one qualified participant, that participant is automatically named the winner without the need for a draw.

Let the competition begin!

TeamLink! I recently discovered this.  It’s nice to know who of your colleagues may be connected with someone you’ve been trying to get in contact with, and that small warm introduction might just be the trick!

That you can send sales leads to anyone within the network.

System Generated Lists!  I was creating my own by searching - these saved me a ton of time!

Additionally, being able to use these lists in tandem with all of the other search features is extremely powerful!

Saved searches has saved me loads of time!

Once I found the ideal customer profile and fine tuned it for my campaigns, then “saved searches” really became super-productive.

Plus, when Navigator understands what I’m searching for, “recommended leads” brings new people into my radar, that I may otherwise have missed.

100% Sales Navigator 🙏

I discovered rather late that we can share Teamlink-Extent-Licenses with non-Sales Nav users internally. If I had known earlier, I could have maximized the potential of Sales Navigator sooner. It's a real benefit to now have our entire network power in Teamlink!

how do you organize that?

do you find the leads, that the system recommends you useful? why are the equal to your own search?

I am really loving the Account IQ.  Even in it’s Beta form I am getting some really smart intel that is proving to be incredibly helpful as I account plan.  Strategic Priorities, Business Challenges, Competitive Landscape, and Headcount Insight - these are exactly the facts and insider information I need to market to my clients efficiently and effectively.  If this is the Beta version, I can’t wait to see the final product!

‘Personas’ is a game-changer for me!

I was having a hard time prospecting for decision makers from multinational corporations, especially the ones that were relevant to my geography. Multinational companies may have hundreds of people working for them, which would make prospecting very difficult and time-consuming. However, ‘Personas’ helps me narrow down my search results and target my outreach precisely down to decision makers that are relevant to my geography and other set criteria.

If i need to choose only one for sure it will be the “recently accepted connections” which truly saves me time on a weekly basis, and focus me on the follow up with these new connections.

Account Filter Spotlights are amazing for highlighting senior management changes in the last 3 months plus companies that have received funding. Being able to prioritise firstly using Buyer Intent is handy too.

Buyer intent is the game changer.

Now I can invest my time in warm and very warm leads and gain results much faster!

That you cannot send a bulk message to multiple people/leads.

The most transformative realization for me was the power of leveraging Sales Navigator's 'Advanced Search' feature with highly specific filters, including role, industry, and company size. Initially, I overlooked the depth of these filters, leading to broad, less targeted lead lists. Understanding how to precisely segment my searches saved me countless hours by significantly refining my prospect lists and improving lead quality. My advice: Dive deep into the advanced search capabilities from the start—it's a game-changer for pinpointing your ideal prospects efficiently."

The spotlights in advanced search - took me a while to fully utilize these, but these are game-changers. For example, when I first discovered it, I found 3 leads I had saved that followed my company already - great ice-breaker to reach out.

Wow! So many amazing features are mentioned above! I love the fact that Advanced Search and its spotlight filters, the ability to save searches and adding leads from the system-generated Recommended Lists are something that saves so much time for you and you wished you’ve known to leverage them earlier. Knowing the capabilities of Advanced Search is fundamental in leveraging Sales Navigator’s power. TeamLink and Teamlink Extend are also a great way to expand on the network! Thank you all for sharing!
