ADD THESE FILTERS TO YOUR SEARCH
Personas - ‘Personas’ is a game-changer for me! I was having a hard time prospecting for decision makers from multinational corporations, especially the ones that were relevant to my geography. Multinational companies may have hundreds of people working for them, which would make prospecting very difficult and time-consuming. However, ‘Personas’ helps me narrow down my search results and target my outreach precisely down to decision makers that are relevant to my geography and other set criteria. – eminbayramli (Full quote here)

Company, Role and Personal Filters - The most transformative realization for me was the power of leveraging Sales Navigator's 'Advanced Search' feature with highly specific filters, including role, industry, and company size. Initially, I overlooked the depth of these filters, leading to broad, less targeted lead lists. Understanding how to precisely segment my searches saved me countless hours by significantly refining my prospect lists and improving lead quality." – Coach Leyla (Full quote here)

Buyer Intent, Best Path in, and Recent Updates - [It] took me a while to fully utilize these, but these are game-changers. For example, when I first discovered it, I found 3 leads I had saved that followed my company already - great ice-breaker to reach out. – rmknopLI (Full quote here)
- Mostly like the update about the sales intelligence filters in Lead Search: now organized into three distinct groups: Buyer Intent, Best Path in, and Recent Updates. Making it easier to understand for me and my clients on how to work with the lot of filters we have nowadays. – Erwin van der Zwaag (Full quote here)
- The sales intelligence filters enable you to work smarter NOT harder. I am a fan of “Who viewed my profile recently.” – tamika.brunetti (Full quote here)
- I’m loving Lead Filters overall. More specifically Activities and Shared Experiences → Viewed your profile in the last 90 days. On LinkedIn, maybe they’re the same and just in different order. However on Sales Nav I can filter deeper and see more insights. So I love that feature! Very helpful. – Owninghappinesss (Full quote here)

3 MORE WAYS TO MAXIMIZE SEARCH
Boolean Search - "When using key words three very useful terms come in hand: AND, OR and NOT also known as Boolean searches. These terms allow us to combine or exclude some information from your research… especially the last one (NOT)… On the top of my mind I can think about using NOT when differentiating marketing product managers from medical product managers on pharmaceutical companies. By using NOT Marketing or NOT medical we can differentiate [these] two roles that they might be on same hierarchy level, and in some cases even have the same name, but have very different functions within the organizations." – Andre M. Search Exclusion - “Also the ability to exclude specific titles is a lifesaver. For example, I remember trying to search for sales folks at specific companies, but kept having consultants and coaches show up. Being able to exclude the titles 'coach' AND ' consultant' were lifesavers." – Chris C. (Full quote here)

Searching Keywords - “Every so often I run a search in regular LinkedIn against specific keywords (I'm looking for content that's been posted that includes that keyword/term). I discovered an individual who had posted earlier that day on LinkedIn asking for recommendations for a franking (postage) machine. I looked at the individual’s profile, captured as much detail about him and his company and passed it over to my Inside Sales team requesting they follow up asap.” – Paul L. (Full quote here)
