LinkedIn Live Events give sales professionals a powerful way to build trust and visibility with potential buyers. By scheduling events in advance, you can attract the right audience, generate buzz, and engage viewers in real time with valuable insights and live Q&A. It’s a chance to connect more personally than a post, message or email ever could.

What makes LinkedIn Live stand out is its ability to create lasting engagement. You can promote content before, during, and after the event keeping your message in front of prospects and driving continued interest. It’s a simple, scalable way to start meaningful conversations and move deals forward.

💡 Build Trust Through Real-Time Interaction

Buyers are more likely to trust sales professionals they can see and hear live rather than just receiving cold messages. For example, a sales leader hosting regular LinkedIn Live Q&A sessions shares valuable insights and answers questions, positioning themselves as a trusted advisor instead of just a seller.

💡 Warm Up Cold Leads Before Outreach

LinkedIn Live creates familiarity that softens cold outreach. A rep might use Sales Navigator to identify high-potential prospects, invite them to a live product demo, and then follow up with personalized messages referencing the prospect’s participation or questions during the stream, making the outreach warmer and more relevant.

💡 Drive Inbound Interest and Engagement

Live video is prioritized by LinkedIn’s algorithm and encourages real-time engagement, helping sales pros attract fresh leads. For instance, a rep hosting a live customer success story sparks comments and direct messages from prospects curious to learn more or explore similar solutions.

💡 Repurpose Content for Ongoing Lead Nurture

One LinkedIn Live event can be repurposed into multiple pieces of content to extend its impact. A sales professional might clip highlights from a 30-minute session and use those videos in email campaigns, LinkedIn posts, and personalized Sales Navigator InMail messages to nurture leads who missed the live event.

💡 Differentiate Yourself from Competitors

Many salespeople rely solely on emails and static content, but live video creates a memorable, dynamic experience. For example, a rep hosting a “Product Tips” live series provides real value and shows expertise, helping them stand out in a crowded market where competitors mostly send PDFs.

💡 Use Sales Navigator to Find and Invite the Right Audience

Sales Navigator’s advanced filters allow sales professionals to precisely target prospects by role, industry, and engagement. A rep can build a list of ideal leads before a LinkedIn Live event, send personalized invites, and engage with attendees before and after the stream, boosting attendance and building stronger connections.

By combining LinkedIn Live’s engaging, interactive format with the precision targeting and outreach capabilities of Sales Navigator, you can create a powerful, scalable way to generate leads, build credibility, and accelerate the sales cycle.

Absolutely agree @Kamille_Community Manager  —LinkedIn Live is a game-changer for modern sales! The ability to interact, answer questions, and showcase expertise live helps sales professionals stand out and create genuine connections. Plus, combining LinkedIn Live with Sales Navigator’s advanced targeting ensures you’re reaching the right audience and can personalize follow-up, making your outreach warmer and more relevant. It’s a must-have for anyone serious about driving pipeline and nurturing leads in today’s digital-first sales world!

LinkedIn Lives are awesome - we’ve been running 1 LinkedIn Live event every month for the last year or so.

Outside the general tips above, something I’ve found to be the most impactful is inviting 1000 first degree connections each week to attend a LinkedIn Live event. You can send 1000 invitations each week, and so can anyone else on your team (or even anyone else on LinkedIn).

Once you mark yourself as attending an event you’ll be able to see Share > Invite.

I’ve included an image below as well.

The best way to take advantage of this is:

  1. Schedule your LinkedIn Live a few weeks in advance
  2. Have everyone on your team invite 1000 1st degree connections each week leading up the the live
  3. The math gets crazy:
    - For example, a team of 10 could invite 10,000 people each week.
    - If the event is scheduled 3 weeks in advance they could invite 10,000 x 3 weeks = 30,000 invitations.

This is how we get 1,000’s of attendees at our LinkedIn Live events.

Hope this helps!
