The ‘Viewed Your Profile Recently’ is one of the most popular and simplest features that can help you to find your ideal clients who are already interested in your services or products. It sits under Lead Search and by toggle it and leverage additional filters, you can screen people by industry, function, location and more.

In this blogpost Sales Insiders share what they do with leads found with this feature and how they pave the way for building business by starting a conversation with someone who could be their next big client. Two of our Community members are also included in this blog. Read along to see what they have to say on how they reach out to the profile viewers.

Thanks for stopping by my profile, I noticed (something notable) and I thought I’d reach out and introduce myself.
Along with these two advices, others shared a couple of great best practices:
- These LinkedIn experts all found success reaching out to profile viewers who aligned with their ideal client. There's potential to be uncovered here.
- Narrow your focus to potential matches. With so many viewers, use the filters to hone in on those most similar to your ideal customer profile.
- Go easy on the sales pitch. Just because someone viewed you doesn't mean they're ready to buy. Keep any outreach casual and simply offer your help if needed.
- Save them as a lead in Sales Navigator. Adding profile viewers who fit your ICP is a minimum task, as you'll see if their details change later on presenting opportunities to reconnect down the road.
If you’d like to get tips on how to get more views on your profile, there are two best practices for you:
- Have a strong, optimized profile. If you need some help with this, I recommend this Community Article to learn how your peers do it.
- Share relevant, educational content for your audience. Some tips on the topics for inspiration:
- Post the best advice you’d give to yourself 5 years ago.
- Post hard-earned lessons you believe your target market will benefit from.
- Post industry news relevant to your target market, with your own perspective on it.
- Post any unique insights or data from your company that’s relevant to your target market.
I hope this post encourages you to check regularly who viewed your profile, add them to your list and reach out to them. Do you already have a success story or you’d like to add your best practices? Please share in a comment below. We’d love to hear from you.
