I like to catch my prospects attention by listing a real issue they have and then the solution.
Ex: "Hi Prospect's Name], quick question: If a cyberattack took down your firm’s operations for 24 hours, how quickly could you recover without missing a beat? At IronOrbit, we help law firms like yours build bulletproof IT infrastructures that keep client data secure and operations running smoothly, no matter what. Is this something you’d like to ensure for your firm?"

This is fantastic—thank you for sharing, @Ndacorsi0218! Have you always used this style of messaging? Did you notice a change in response rates after making the switch?

Thank you @Kamille_Community Manager! I always switch it up and just see what works. It is, as I am sure already know, an ever-changing challenge. It also depends on whom my message is directed at. I would use the above messaging for IT Directors, but for the CIO or CTO, I would change the messaging to something more relevant and personal for their role.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing more details about your strategy. It's always great to hear what members are doing!
Hey [Prospect's Name],
Ever feel like you’re leaving more voicemails than actually closing deals? We help teams turn ghosted leads into paying customers—no paranormal activity required. What about a quick chat?
"My go-to conversation starter with prospects is to focus on what truly matters to them - their reputation and influence. I typically begin with:
‘In today’s digital and hyper-connected world, a company’s reputation can change overnight. I’d love to understand how you’re currently managing your brand’s perception and what challenges you face in shaping public goodwill.’
This approach instantly engages decision-makers because it shifts the focus to their concerns, making the conversation about them rather than a sales pitch. It also allows me to position my firm as a strategic partner that can help them navigate reputation risks and opportunities with science-based insights.
My go to conversation starter is to get the leads responding on their recent post or engagement on any posts with a further opinion of my own to get the conversation started.
While it takes a bit more effort, better conversations lead to better conversions.
I like to comment on something I saw on their profile, such as what college they went to. It seems to relax the prospects somewhat, and they appreciate you noticing something about their profile.
Hi [Prospect],
This is Damien at Xocial Gong. I’m not gonna lie. This is a sales call. The reason for my call is to book a time with you. I help small business owners like yourself who are losing business because their calls keep going to voicemail. We’ve developed a solution so you never lose a deal over a miss a call.
How is next Thursday at 1pm?
Hello [Prospect],
I saw that you are facing some questions at xxx (xxx=some highlight that I found on his/her profile or company website).
For company like your we provide this same solution and I truly believe that we can work together to provide this same solution to your costumers, despite of an upgrade on their satisfaction, it can still generate a new stream revenue (and I can say forever that you did this).
Please, give me a chance to present it in details, on ‘date A’ or ‘date b’.
Hope to hear news from you soon.
Best Regards,
CF
P.S.: This message was written from the heart as you deserve, no AI tools were used.
I make it about them, something like:
“Hi Tammy, I loved your recent post about XYZ… and then ask a follow-up question about the post that I can build-on/respond to in a second outreach]
Or reference a common connection.
“Hey John, I was talking with Jane Smith the other day and she recommended we chat about ctopic]. Would love to chat the week of 3/24 if you have some time. I’m open on Wed and Thu (3/36 and 3/27) that week.”
Grabbing attention in a way that feels fresh, natural, and not overly salesy is what I strive for! I’ve found that leading with genuine curiosity and a touch of personalization makes all the difference.
"I came across ssomething specific about them—their work, a post they shared, a milestone they hit] and had to reach out! It got me thinking about orelevant insight/value], and I’d love to hear your thoughts."
It keeps things warm, engaging, and focused on them rather than just what I have to offer.
100% it’s about the personalization for me and the ability to connect on a human first level.
I connected with someone recently with a Subject “What’s your dance party playlist?” because of a reference they had made on their profile. Another time I actually sent a picture of me with a lion on a university campus where the contact was an alum. Obviously, the best opportunities are when people take the time to have some information on their profile whereas the basic profiles lack the ability to find a personal or professional connection.
Hi XXX,
This is Chris, Chris Garinger. I recognize this is a cold call (give a little chuckle); however, I promise it’s a well-researched one. I’d love to tell you why I’m calling you specifically and if it doesn’t make sense to keep talking, I’ll let you go. Sound fair?
