Hi, all.

Welcome to your first Statement of Direction for 2022!

This is your exclusive preview into Sales Navigator updates that will start to roll out in the coming weeks. We hope these updates will help you and your teams start the year on a strong note and position you for success in 2022.

Salespeople everywhere are working toward their goals for the new year or quarter, but the Great Reshuffle of talent continues to introduce new challenges. Turnover among corporate directors and executives is up 31%, changing buying committees and key decision makers at a rapid pace. As a result, 80% of salespeople report that they have delayed or lost a deal because of job changes within target accounts.

To help salespeople mitigate these risks and capitalize on new opportunities during the Great Reshuffle, we are introducing several enhancements to Sales Navigator.

🔍 Top New Enhancements & Features Coming This Quarter:

  • For all Sales Navigator license holders] All-new Search, including a refreshed end-to-end search process with filters grouped intuitively by type, and a results interface that refreshes in real time as you add/ remove filters.

Updates include:

  • The introduction of a refreshed Search process, including a larger collapsible, intuitive grouped view of filters, making it easier to keep a full picture of all the ways you can access LinkedIn data
    • Net new filters such as "Company headquarters" and "TeamLink connections of" to build on existing favorite filters like "Connections of" and "Changed jobs in the past 90 days"
    • A live updating interface. Watch your results change as you add and remove filters to allow immediate fine-tuning.

  • lFor Advanced Plus Sales Navigator license holders*] “At-Risk Opportunities” list uniquely surfaces in Sales Navigator those deals that may be at risk because a buyer t has left for a new organization. It is auto-generated by matching CRM contact information in open Opportunities with current LinkedIn company and member data.

*Note: This feature is only available for Advanced Plus customers with CRM Sync enabled. CRM Sync requires Salesforce Sales Cloud or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales.

  • For all Sales Navigator license holders – continued rollout from 2021 Q4] The new Homepage experience helps prioritize immediately actionable information through Alerts (including job changes and account hiring trends), Priority Accounts, and Account Map views. (Access to this experience began rolling out last quarter and all Sales Navigator users will have the new homepage by the end of this quarter.)

✏️ Action Needed: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales customers:

The security of your data is of the utmost importance to us, and in order to maintain the highest levels of protection, LinkedIn periodically and proactively rotates our server connections.

As part of these protocols, we are requiring all Sales Navigator accounts using CRM Sync with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales to re-authenticate their connection by March 22, 2022. The process will take no more than 2 minutes for your Microsoft Dynamics administrator to complete.

For instructions on how to re-authenticate, please review this Help Center article. After this process has been completed, users on your account will be prompted to re-authenticate their own access from within Sales Navigator. Re-authentication by March 22 is required to maintain access to CRM integrations (including auto-save, activity writeback, contact and lead creation, at-risk opportunities and champions lists and more).

💡 Recommendations to Program Managers and Admins

Program Leaders and Admins should:

  • Review the list of updates relevant to your team, and work with your LinkedIn account representative to determine how they will impact your team’s sales processes.
  • Plan training sessions on updates to your sales process that ensure your team quickly takes advantage of the new features once they have been released.

Next steps on product announcements:

  • Sales Navigator Administrators will receive access to most of these updates around February 8, with your users getting access in the weeks that follow.

Important note: Please keep this information between you and your Program Leads, as this is an exclusive early view, and these features are still under development. The information in this post is confidential and proprietary to LinkedIn and may not be disclosed without the permission of LinkedIn.

If you have any questions or feedback about the product direction, please leave a comment below and/or share your feedback in our ideas board.

Thank you to all our Community members who shared their feedback with us, we will be announcing throughout the quarter the members who contributed with suggestions related to these features.

As always, I've been waiting for this update. Thanks for sharing @Nadia Vieira !

Absolutely, @Alejandro C!

By the way, I would love to hear your thoughts on the all-new search we will be releasing soon! 😊

I wasn't able to spend as much time with it as I would have liked to, but I can tell you I think there might a division...some people will love it, some others might have a challenge adapting to it. that being said, anything that makes the search experience better is a plus!

I would very much appreciate focusing on generell LinkedIn changes and the changes of Sales Navigator. I recognized the gen. LinkedIn changes having decent implications utilizing SN too. I'm still struggling to be up to date on LI updates. Any recommendations?

Happy to get some community thoughts on this. Cheers, Dirk

@Alejandro C I completely understand. I think it would be great to hear both perspectives. This feedback will help our product team realize how users think we could improve the search feature even further, but it can also be a great way for users who are finding out interesting ways to leverage the new search experience to share it with all of our Community members. Honestly, I can't wait to hear both of them! 😊

@Dirk D You are absolutely right, I agree with the need to also share LinkedIn flagship product updates. Knowing about these features will help you strategize on how to improve your virtual selling and thought leadership strategies.

Even though, we are prioritizing Sales Navigator new features and enhancements, as that is the core focus of this Community, since we understand how Sales Navigator and LinkedIn features are interconnected, we have also shared LinkedIn's most important updates here in the past - here is an example of one of the updates we shared.

Nonetheless, we will be sharing a post here soon with the upcoming LinkedIn features announced earlier this month by Tomer Cohen, our Chief Product Officer at LinkedIn, so I would recommend you to keep an eye out for that. 😊

Thank you both for your feedback, we are, as always, very grateful for it!

I look forward to seeing the new Search features. Thanks for sharing @Nadia Vieira .

Thx for share, @Nadia Vieira

Thank you so much for the feedback, @Stan R and @Wolfgang W! 😊

Let us know when you have access to the new search features and what are your first impressions. As always, we are interested in hearing your thoughts first-hand!

Will scheduled data validations in CRM be available for Advanced? Thanks!

That and creating CRM (Salesforce) contacts from LinkedIn are great features.

Hello, @Spenser W. C. Thank you so much for your feedback, we really appreciate it. 😊

As you can see in the LinkedIn Sales Navigator Plans & Pricing, today, Advanced CRM integrations such as Data Validation & Contact Creation for Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, are only available to Advanced Plus license holders.

However, if this is something you would like to see expanded to Advanced users, I would recommend you to share this and the reasoning behind that request on our Ideas page. Our product and business teams will review your suggestion and share further details on what they might be able to do.

Thank you and hope to see your idea soon!

Hi Nadia, I understand.

I tuned into the webinar from an email sent by Nicole Desjardins mentioning upcoming changes to plans. I must have misheard - thinking a new Standard plan for 0-49 users meant X features. I will look more into Advanced Plus with the team. Thank you!

Hi, @Spenser W. C.

Thank you so much for sharing this additional context. The webinar Nicole Desjardins, our Product Marketing Leader, sent walks you through the most recent changes, so I'm glad to hear that you have watched it already.

Additionally, if you are indeed interested in getting more details on how to upgrade to an Advance Plus license, my suggestion would be for you to discuss this with your current Sales Navigator sales representative. They will be the best point of contact to share all the details with you.

Hope this is helpful and feel free to let us know in case we can support you further.

Thank you,

Nádia
