Hi all,

Our quarterly product release went out today, giving you an advance view into the new features under development for this quarter. For the full details on recent and forthcoming changes, please see the attached page at the link, below.

Check out the new features by contract type that will help you start connecting with buyers:

Professional License Users

List Enhancements

  • Manual account prioritisation: users will be able to ‘Star’ Accounts to prioritize after reviewing key information in a List, such as renewal date and opportunity status.
  • Outreach activity in account lists: users will see a history of their LinkedIn interactions with an Account (e.g Connection requests, Messages, SmartLinks) from their Sales Navigator Account Lists. This will give you greater visibility to make informed decisions on the next best action.

Homepage Enhancements & New Alerts

  • Alerts Enhancements: you will now be able to filter Alerts by Lead, Account and shared activity in addition to Alert type. Alerts will also now automatically be sorted so that the most urgent and timely will be at the top, ensuring you never miss an update on the Accounts and Leads critical to your success.
  • Company HQ filter: Users will see a new geographic filter option that will allow users to search for leads by the location of company headquarters.
  • Alerts filer and search for mobile: users will now be able to filter their alerts by leads and accounts on mobile; an alerts search bar will allow a users to search their alerts for specific accounts or leads.

Accounts Enhancements

  • Account Insights: surfaces valuable insights on a saved account by aggregating recent activity from Alerts to identify trends (e.g. company growth over time) that can indicate when to take action in pursuing that account.
  • Account Opportunities: alerts that signal saved accounts experiencing an increase in employees in the past 90 days or when employees are moving to another company, opportunities to discuss scaling, and save a new account.
  • Account Risks: know when a saved account is seeing a decrease in employee growth in the past 90 days or experiencing layoffs, signalling risks that may need personal outreach.

Team License Users

Team users will enjoy the following feature updates, along with all updates listed for Professional users above.

SmartLinks Enhancements

  • New supported assets: URL, Video and Youtube. In addition to asset types already supported by Smart Links (e.g. PPT, PDF), Sales Navigator users can now add URLs and videos to their Smart Links presentations, expanding the types of content they can share and track views on.
  • Smart Links will track the engagement metrics for these asset types: for URL link to website if clicked, link was opened in a new tab; for Video/Youtube how long the video was viewed, if video was downloaded (native video file), if video was opened in new tab (Youtube).
  • Prevent Downloads & Re-title Assets: users will now be able to prevent Smart Links recipients from downloading the assets in a Smart Link; users will also be able to change the title associated with the assets inside their Smart Link presentations.

CRM

  • Account CRM Filter*: similar to our lead CRM filter, users will be able to filter by accounts in your CRM (this filter requires CRM Sync to be enabled).

* CRM Sync only available to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Salesforce Sales Cloud.

Admin Enhancements

  • ROI Reporting Updates: receive detailed reporting on the impact of your Sales Navigator program and understand the actions that led reps to close key deals (now available to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales customers; CRM Sync required, contact your Linkedin representative for access).
  • Account Center ''No Group'' user filter: quickly find users not yet assigned to a Group by selecting the new “No Group” filter option in your User List view.

Enterprise License Users

Enterprise users will enjoy the following feature updates, along with all updates listed for Professional and Team users above.

Information shown includes: Opportunity Owner, Opportunity Name, Opportunity Stage and Close Date. Users will also be able to filter by owner to understand which colleagues have worked or are working on a particular account to collaborate more effectively.

*Please note: This feature is only available to Enterprise users with CRM Sync for Salesforce enabled. Access for users on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales with CRM Sync enabled will receive this feature at a later date.

Alerts

  • Buyer Interest Alerts Panel for Mobile: a side panel with an aggregate view of potential buyers' function, their department, time stamp, and geographic location will appear when a user clicks on a Buyer Interest Alert (Employee Alerts) on Mobile.

Additional Product Updates

1) Update to InMail Settings:

  • We recently tied the InMail reply email to the "InMails you have received" in your member settings. Before this change, Sales Navigator did not offer a way to turn off this email type.
  • This means that you now have the ability to change how frequent you receive email updates about InMail
  • ACTION: Make sure email frequency is set to "Individually," and then you will start receiving your InMail reply emails again. You can check your settings here: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/communications-controls/email.

2) 100% To Ramp for an Updated InMail Experience

  • We’re rolling out an updated experience for replying to Sales Navigator InMails to make it consistent with the reply experience for Recruiter and Premium InMails.
    • Updates include:Removal of the “Maybe” option - Members can still type their reply without clicking “Yes” or “No” first.
    • If members click “No,” they can either reply with a message or respond without any text.

3) Updates to Smart Links

We’re about to ramp two small changes to Smart Links:

  • Link previews for Smart Links will pull in a thumbnail from the first asset on the Smart Link.
  • We’re replacing the current illustration on the opt-in page with something more neutral.

Product Transitions to all Sales Navigator Users

  • Tags Transitions to Lists: Between August and September 2020, all applied Tags on Leads and Accounts were migrated to Lists. Lists provide a more robust way for Sales Navigator users to organize their workflow and keep track of leads, accounts, and existing clients. Tags migration process: August 2020 - Ability to create Tags removed & Applied Tags migrated over to Lists, September 2020 - Tags migrated to Lists compete, December 2020 - Tags will no longer be available. Watch the Tags Webinar here.

  • Deals Sunset: The most valued pieces of Deals will be absorbed throughout Sales Navigator as part of the user's workflow, and we will remove Deals as a standalone functionality. Specifically, we’ve added/will add:
    • Contact Creation provides the ability for a user to create a contact record in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales & SFDC from a Sales Navigator Lead Page or Lead List (currently available);
    • Opportunity Information will prioritize accounts based on factors such as industry, geography, account status (opportunity close date) and health to help stay focused (launching this quarter);
    • Account Mapping (coming soon).

Friendly Reminder

  • Increased List Limits and Bulk Actions: users can save more Leads or Accounts in a List, as the limit is increasing from 250 to 1,000. Also, take bulk actions on up to 25 Leads/Accounts within a List, including removing or moving them from one saved List to another. tQ3 2020 Product update feature]
  • Account Shared Update Alert: receive an Alert when one of your saved Accounts shares an update, and engage with the update by commenting or sharing directly from your Sales Navigator homepage. Q3 2020 Product update feature]

These are exciting enhancements @Nadia Vieira!

Two questions:

Account Shared Update Alert: receive an Alert when one of your saved Accounts shares an update, and engage with the update by commenting or sharing directly from your Sales Navigator homepage.

Does this mean we will not be taken off Sales Nav to LinkedIn when we are commenting on a post? Does this also apply to comments on posts from Leads?

Under Increased List Limits and Bulk Actions, can you clarify what this means?

"...take bulk actions on up to 25 Leads/Accounts within a List."

Hi, @Stan R!

Thank you for the feedback, we really appreciate it. 😊

On Account Shared Update Alert, yes, it's exactly what you said. Users will be able to engage with the lead and/or account's update inside Sales Navigator. You'll have the option to like and leave a comment.

On Increased Lists Limits and Bulk Actions, the limit is increasing from 250 to 1,000. Additionally, users will also be able to perform bulk actions that will allow them to select up to 25 Leads/Accounts and remove them or move them from one saved List to another.

Hope this is helpful and let me know in case you have any further questions.

Thank you,

Nádia

Great news for Smart Links.

As well the ones the community contributed to 😎

I know, @Lionel L! Sharing product updates is always something exciting to do, but especially when some of them were suggested in this Community by our incredible members. 😊

@Nadia Vieira Hi Nadia,

These are great! Has the .CSV Uploads to Account Lists feature on Enterprise gone live yet? Or is this something that has to be provisioned to users by my salesnav admin? Thanks!

Hi, @Colby Z. Thank you for the feedback. 😊

Great question! At the moment, .CSV Uploads to Account Lists are live only to All Admins on Field Team & Enterprise Contracts + Field Team and Enterprise Contracts up to 15 seats (English only, excluding contracts <30 days old and pilot contracts).

Please find below when other license holders should expect to have access to them:

  • Nov 30th: Field Team & Enterprise Contracts with more than 15 seats (English only, excluding contracts <30 days old and pilot contracts)
  • Dec 7th: All remaining Contracts

Hope this is helpful and please let me know in case you have any further questions.

Thank you,

Nádia

@Nadia Vieira what is the process to follow in order to upload a .CSV list of Accounts? I can't seem to find this functionality yet. Thx

@Paul L, in order to be able to upload a .CSV list of accounts you should take the following steps:

  1. Select the ''Account Lists Tabs''
  2. Select the option to ''Create Account List''
  3. Once you're completed previous step, you'll see a new option to ''Upload accounts from CSV'' (see image below)

4.jpg.originalCan you please confirm if you can see this functionality? If you've a Field Enterprise Contract with more than 15 seats, then you should have this feature available since November 30th.

Please let me know if you can find this and we can take it from there. 😊

Thank you,

Nádia

Thanks @Nadia Vieira I can confirm I'm able to see this functionality

So happy to hear that, @Paul L. Please let us know what you think of this enhancement, we're curious to find out what our users think about it and how useful it is for them! 😊

***UPDATE***

Hi all,

In the past year, we’ve seen our customers’ needs — and their use of Sales Navigator — rapidly evolve. Sales Navigator has become increasingly essential as the world moves online and sellers seek more effective ways to connect to the right buyers virtually.

If you haven't heard, we have a new Sales Navigator experience coming soon in January 2022:

We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the (new) features of each plan at the links above or watch the recording of the new Sales Navigator lineup experience.

In addition, I want to call out that auto/system-generated Lists, CRM account and lead filters in Seach, and ROI Reporting (via CRM Sync) will be available for only the Advanced Plus plan beginning in January 2022.

Thank you and please let us know if you have any questions,

Eva C.
