Product Update: Check Sales Navigator's Q4 2020 New Product Features

Hi all, Our quarterly product release went out today, giving you an advance view into the new features under development for this quarter. For the full details on recent and forthcoming changes, please see the attached page at the link, below. Check out the new features by contract type that will help you start connecting with buyers: Professional License Users List EnhancementsManual account prioritisation: users will be able to ‘Star’ Accounts to prioritize after reviewing key information in a List, such as renewal date and opportunity status. Outreach activity in account lists: users will see a history of their LinkedIn interactions with an Account (e.g Connection requests, Messages, SmartLinks) from their Sales Navigator Account Lists. This will give you greater visibility to make informed decisions on the next best action.  Homepage Enhancements & New AlertsAlerts Enhancements: you will now be able to filter Alerts by Lead, Account and shared activity in addition to Alert type. Alerts will also now automatically be sorted so that the most urgent and timely will be at the top, ensuring you never miss an update on the Accounts and Leads critical to your success. Company HQ filter: Users will see a new geographic filter option that will allow users to search for leads by the location of company headquarters.  Alerts filer and search for mobile: users will now be able to filter their alerts by leads and accounts on mobile; an alerts search bar will allow a users to search their alerts for specific accounts or leads. Accounts EnhancementsAccount Insights: surfaces valuable insights on a saved account by aggregating recent activity from Alerts to identify trends (e.g. company growth over time) that can indicate when to take action in pursuing that account. Account Opportunities: alerts that signal saved accounts experiencing an increase in employees in the past 90 days or when employees are moving to another company, opportunities to discuss scaling, and save a new account. Account Risks: know when a saved account is seeing a decrease in employee growth in the past 90 days or experiencing layoffs, signalling risks that may need personal outreach. Team License UsersTeam users will enjoy the following feature updates, along with all updates listed for Professional users above. SmartLinks EnhancementsNew supported assets: URL, Video and Youtube. In addition to asset types already supported by Smart Links (e.g. PPT, PDF), Sales Navigator users can now add URLs and videos to their Smart Links presentations, expanding the types of content they can share and track views on.   Smart Links will track the engagement metrics for these asset types: for URL link to website if clicked, link was opened in a new tab; for Video/Youtube how long the video was viewed, if video was downloaded (native video file), if video was opened in new tab (Youtube). Prevent Downloads & Re-title Assets: users will now be able to prevent Smart Links recipients from downloading the assets in a Smart Link; users will also be able to change the title associated with the assets inside their Smart Link presentations.  CRMAccount CRM Filter*: similar to our lead CRM filter, users will be able to filter by accounts in your CRM (this filter requires CRM Sync to be enabled). * CRM Sync only available to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Salesforce Sales Cloud. Admin EnhancementsROI Reporting Updates: receive detailed reporting on the impact of your Sales Navigator program and understand the actions that led reps to close key deals (now available to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales customers; CRM Sync required, contact your Linkedin representative for access). Account Center ''No Group'' user filter: quickly find users not yet assigned to a Group by selecting the new “No Group” filter option in your User List view.​ Enterprise License UsersEnterprise users will enjoy the following feature updates, along with all updates listed for Professional and Team users above. Account Lists.CSV Uploads to Account Lists: users will be able to upload a CSV file of accounts to create an Account List.  CRM Opportunities in Account Lists*: users will be able to review CRM opportunity information such as opportunity close date and stage to help stay focused. Information shown includes: Opportunity Owner, Opportunity Name, Opportunity Stage and Close Date. Users will also be able to filter by owner to understand which colleagues have worked or are working on a particular account to collaborate more effectively.  *Please note: This feature is only available to Enterprise users with CRM Sync for Salesforce enabled. Access for users on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales with CRM Sync enabled will receive this feature at a later date.  AlertsBuyer Interest Alerts Panel for Mobile: a side panel with an aggregate view of potential buyers' function, their department, time stamp, and geographic location will appear when a user clicks on a Buyer Interest Alert (Employee Alerts) on Mobile.  Product Release Ramp Timeline We will be ramping by Contract Type and size. So, here’s a sneak peek of the new features and enhancements coming this quarter that aim to support you in cultivating relationships, further identifying buyer interest, and driving more efficiency in your team’s day-to-day efforts.  Top New Enhancements & Features Coming This Quarter: Cultivate relationships through account list updates[For both Enterprise and Teams license holders] Account list updates will give you a complete view of the book of business, allowing sales teams to prioritize accounts and identify opportunities for outreach based on their target accounts’ most relevant LinkedIn activity. [For Enterprise license holders] To help you really understand your customers’ challenges and opportunities, you’ll be able to efficiently import a CVS file of your accounts to Sales Navigator. Additionally, for customers with CRM Sync activated, we’ll bring Opportunity information directly into Lists* so that users can better prioritise through the lens of deal progression.  *CRM Sync is required, will be available for Salesforce Sales Cloud this quarter and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales next quarter  Understand buyer interest through video and URL support in Smart Links[For both Enterprise and Teams license holders]To ensure you’re spending the right time with the right customers you must easily and accurately assess their interest. Through leveraging video and URL in Smart Links you’ll get even more insights into buyer interest and create an even more engaging and rich media experience for prospects and customers, and deeper content engagement tracking capabilities.  Leverage CRM + Sales Navigator through ROI Reporting[For both Enterprise and Teams license holders] To make your life easier, we’re continuing to bring Sales Navigator closer to your CRM with updates to ROI Reporting that allow you to more accurately understand the total revenue sourced or influenced by Sales Navigator.* *CRM Sync is required an available for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Salesforce Sales Cloud Recommendations to Program Managers and Admins  Program Leaders and Admins should: Review the list of updates relevant to your team, and work with your LinkedIn account representative to determine how they will impact your team’s sales processes.Plan training sessions on updates to your sales process that ensure your team quickly takes advantage of the new features. Sales Navigator Administrators should: Remind users to review the product update details that will be shared with them in an announcement around November 11. Take advantage of early access provided around November 18 to familiarize yourself with the changes.Encourage users to engage in training opportunities offered by your organization and/or LinkedIn.  Next steps on product announcements:Product announcements will be sent to you directly, as well as to your team’s Sales Navigator users around November 11, providing details on the changes included in the Q4 Release. Sales Administrations and Program Managers will receive access to most features around November 18, with users ramping in the weeks that follow. Additionally, as always, we’ll share all new features and the ramp timeline here in the Community in the upcoming weeks. For the full details on recent and forthcoming changes, please see the attached page at the link, below. Check out the new features by contract type that will help you start connecting with buyers: Enterprise Edition License HoldersEnterprise Edition customers will enjoy the following feature updates, along with all updates listed for Team Edition below. New Feature: Buyer Interest Alerts: users will have the option to know when potential buyers at a saved Account are researching your LinkedIn company page or company website. There will be two Buyer Interest Alerts based on seniority: “leadership interest” and “employee interest.”  Team Edition License Holders List Enhancements: LinkedIn Outreach activity on lead lists: easily view your last touchpoint with saved Leads (messages and connection requests) through a new column in your Lead Lists, enabling you to make an informed decision on the next best action to take. Increased List Limits and Bulk Actions: Save more Leads or Accounts in a List, as the limit is increasing from 250 to 1,000. Also, take bulk actions on up to 25 Leads/Accounts within a List, including removing or moving them from one saved List to another. Alerts:  Account Shared Update Alert: receive an Alert when one of your saved Accounts shares an update, and engage with the update by commenting or sharing directly from your Sales Navigator homepage.  Alerts Enhancements: you will now be able to filter Alerts by Lead, Account and shared activity in addition to Alert type. Alerts will also now automatically be sorted so that the most urgent and timely will be at the top, ensuring you never miss an update on the Accounts and Leads critical to your success. Search Enhancements:  Search Filter Recommendations: uncover prospective Leads and Accounts with intelligent AI-driven suggestions on additional search filters to apply. Location and Account Search Precision: be more precise when searching with postal codes or Accounts through improvements to our robust search data set. CRM Updates: Lists from CRM: access your Accounts, Leads and Contacts directly in Sales Navigator Lists that are generated automatically from your CRM (CRM Sync required).* CRM Alert: get notified in Sales Navigator when you are assigned an Account or Lead in your CRM (CRM Sync required).* Updates for Admins: ROI Reporting for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales: Receive detailed reporting on the impact of your Sales Navigator program and understand the actions that led reps to close key deals (now available to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales customers; CRM Sync required, contact your Linkedin representative for access).* Updates to Account Center: Completing bulk actions in Account Center is now faster and more intuitive. Quickly and easily locate and select up to 2000 users to take immediate bulk actions, such as group and permission management, within the new User Queue.   Adjustment to Coach: an action to use Smart Links will replace Tags and Sales Preferences in Coach. As a result, You may see a change in your Coach progress meter due to changes in the number of actions needed to get to each level. New Usage Reporting Metrics: Track the usage and adoption of Lists, saved Leads, and saved Accounts features with "Total Lists Created" (in UI and CSV export), "Total Leads Saved" and "Total Accounts saved" (in CSV export).  * CRM Sync only available to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Salesforce Sales Cloud.General Updates: Expanded In-Product Help: in-Product help will now be even easier to access from your homepage, with the option to chat directly with Customer Support. Adjustment to Coach: an action to use Smart Links will replace Tags and Sales Preferences in Coach. Mobile App Refresh: you will now be able to access search from the universal navigation bar anywhere in your mobile experience. In order to get access to the latest mobile features, you’ll need to update your app to the latest Android/iOS version.  Product Transitions to all License Holders Tags Transitions to Lists: lists enable you to organize, track, and follow up on relevant Leads and Accounts, providing a more robust experience than Tags. As such, Tags (not to be confused with Admin Tags) will be removed by the end of 2020. As a first step in this transition, the ability to create new Tags will be removed in September and existing Tags will be migrated to Lists. To learn more, attend the Tags webinar on August 26, where we'll be discussing what you need to know to prepare for the migration. Deals Sunset: deals will be removed as a standalone functionality at the end of 2020. The relationship status and pipeline visibility that it provides will be integrated throughout the Sales Navigator user workflow. Account Center Migration: The migration from Seat Management to Account Center continues for contracts with more than 50 seats. Product Release Ramp Timeline We will be ramping by Contract Type and size. There will be two Alerts in this category, offered based on seniority: “leadership interest” and “employee interest.” These Buyer Interest Alerts will offer an option to view more details in a side panel. Team Edition License Holders New Features and Enhancements:Lists from CRM: Lead or Account Lists can be generated from within your CRM system, providing users with a saved List view and timely Alerts on prospective and existing customers (CRM Sync required).*Outreach Activity in Lead List: A new column in your Lead Lists will show LinkedIn activities (messages and connection requests) allowing you to quickly and easily see your last touch point with any saved lead and make an informed decision on the next best action to take. List Enhancements: Extend List Limit: Users will be able to save up to 1,000 Leads/Accounts in a list (an increase from the previous limit of 250).Bulk Actions from Lists: Users will be able to take bulk actions on up to 25 Leads/Accounts within a List, including removing or moving them from one saved List to another.New Alerts: Users will receive even more actionable insights on their saved Leads and Accounts with these new Alerts:CRM: Users will be notified when they are assigned as an Opportunity owner of a Lead/Account (CRM Sync required).*Account Shared Update: This highly requested Alert will let users know when a saved Account shares an update, and allow users to like, comment, and share without leaving their homepage.Alert Enhancements:Alert Relevancy Ranking: Alerts will now be sorted based on relevancy by default, with the option to sort by chronological order. This will help ensure that the most critical and timely Alerts and updates regarding saved Leads and Accounts are never missed.Alert Filters: Users will have the ability to filter Alerts by Lead, Account, and shared activity, as well as by Alert type, quickly surfacing relevant information on saved Leads and Accounts. Account Center for Admins: Admins with access to the new Account Center can build complex user lists and take action on them in bulk. Admins can seamlessly search and add users to the new “User Queue” before choosing actions to take from the “Quick Action Bar”, including licenses and permissions management.Additional updates to the Account Center include:The ability to filter users by permission level (user, admin, sub-admin).A refreshed “resend invite” action that can now be accessed from the ellipses icon on the user List.Google author support for SSO.Bulk updating of user permissions via CSV upload.Search Enhancements: Search Filter Recommendations: As users apply filters to their search, Sales Navigator will make AI-driven suggestions on additional facets to add next to further improve their results.Location and Account Search: Improvements to our robust search data set will allow you to be more precise when searching with postal codes or Accounts.CRM Sync: Admins will have more flexibility when turning on auto-save logic between CRM Leads, Contacts, or Opportunities and Sales Navigator Leads or Accounts. These options will be available in the Sales Navigator Admin Settings page (CRM Sync required).*ROI Reporting for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales: The ability to view the measurable value of your Sales Navigator program will be available to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales customers (CRM Sync required, contact your Linkedin representative for access).*Expanded In-Product Help: Users will have easier access to product help and the option to chat with Customer Support directly from their homepage.Coach: As Sales Navigator continues to evolve, we’re making adjustments to Coach to ensure users are being provided with the guidance they need. For the full details on recent and forthcoming changes, please see the attached page at the link, below. Check out the new features by contract type that will help you start connecting with buyers: Professional Edition New Search Functionality: Streamline your search experience with the ability to apply commonly used filters directly in the search bar for quick and relevant results. ‘Lead shared an updated’’ alert with side panel: When you engage with a “Lead shared an update on LinkedIn” alert, it now opens into a side panel on your home page, allowing you to view, comment, and react without leaving your workflow in Sales Navigator. LinkedIn Learning Access*: As a reminder, your Professional Edition Sales Navigator seat gives you access to LinkedIn Learning’s library, with thousands of courses to help sharpen your sales skills and more. Find out how to access learning here! *LinkedIn Learning is only included with Professional Edition. Team Edition: Team Edition customers enjoy all the updates listed in the Professional Edition, plus: Smart Links Update: Share Smart Links from Messages on desktop and mobile. Additionally, easily stay up-to-date on prospects and customers with an alert when your Smart Links are viewed. Additionally, Admins can now view and understand their team’s use of Smart Links with two new data points in Usage Reporting. Public and Private Notes: Write and view Notes within Custom Lists in addition to Lead and Account Pages, mark any note as Public (visible to all colleagues for seamless sharing and collaboration) or Private (visible to self only). Notes can be written back to CRM from both Lead/Account Pages and Lists (CRM Sync required).* New Admin Home: Admins can now access a new Admin Home experience, which outlines recommended objectives designed to drive sales productivity and provides access to other key Admin tools in an updated navigation. Sales Navigator Application Platform (SNAP) Partners: To continue streamlining the workflow between Sales Navigator and HubSpot, this update now gives users the ability to add Sales Navigator-specific tasks, like sending LinkedIn connection requests or Messages, directly to their HubSpot Sales Hub sequences, and complete these tasks without leaving HubSpot CRM Enhancements: Organizations wishing to take advantage of CRM Sync and its associated features, while remaining in alignment with stringent corporate security concerns, can now access CRM Sync through a new CRM Admin “Read Only” credential. Note: Access limited to specific features of CRM Sync that do not require activity writeback to CRM.* Sales Navigator Community: Now all Team and Enterprise Edition users have access to the Community, to connect and share tips with other users and Sales Navigator experts. Additionally, Community is now available in all Sales Navigator-supported languages Account Center Migration: Account Center, the new dashboard for license management, will continue to ramp to contracts with fewer than 50 seats  Enterprise Edition:  Enterprise Edition customers enjoy all of the updates listed in the Professional and Team Editions, plus: Smart Links CRM Writeback: Admins can enable writeback of Smart Links activity, bringing key Smart Links interactions into their CRM and making it easier than ever to get an integrated view into how their team is using the Smart Links feature and how that ties to deal outcomes (CRM Sync required). * Find out all about Smart Links here. Contact Creation for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales: Simplifying the workflow between your CRM and Sales Navigator, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales users can create a Contact record in CRM directly from a Sales Navigator Lead Page or Lead List (CRM Sync required).* Learn more about content creation here.  All these features were 100% ramped on June 15th.   Friendly Reminder for All Editions:Don’t forget that on May 30, we will fully transition PointDrive to Smart Links. Hi all, Our quarterly product Statement of Direction went out yesterday, giving you an advance view into the new features under development for this quarter. For the full details on recent and forthcoming changes, please see the attached page at the link, below. Highlights of recent and forthcoming Q2 updates: Sales Navigator CommunityWe’d like to announce that we’re providing the Community interface in all Sales Navigator-supported languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Dutch, and Italian). Get to know how you can change your language preference settings. We’ll also be offering achievement badges when members hit a Community milestone or recognition from Community Moderators for standout contributions to the conversation. The Community experience is being opened up to all Team and Enterprise Edition users, so they can share best practices, network, and learn from each others’ experiences. Smart LinksUsers can now seamlessly share Smart Links while sending messages from Sales Navigator desktop and mobile platforms. Additionally, users will receive alerts when someone views their Smart Links. Admins have access to two new data points as part of Usage Reporting: the number of Smart Links each user has created, and the number of total views for Smart Links created by each user.  Contact Creation for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales [Only for Enterprise Edition customers]Users can create a Contact record in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales directly from a Sales Navigator Lead Page or Lead List (CRM Sync required).* Public/Private NotesComments on Custom Lists will be integrated with Notes on Lead and Account pages, so that users may take and view Notes on a Lead or an Account from both pages and Lists. Users will have the ability to set a Note to "Public" meaning visible to all colleagues on their contract, or "Private" meaning only visible to themselves. If CRM synced, users will now be able to copy Notes back to CRM from both Lead/Account Pages and Lists.* Lead Shared Update Side PanelAll Lead Shared Update alerts will now open into a panel that slides out from the right side of the homepage, allowing users to view, comment and react to the update without leaving Sales Navigator. SearchIntroducing a new auto-fill solution that allows users to apply commonly used filters directly from the search bar for quick and relevant results. Admin HomeAdmins can now access a new Admin Home experience, which outlines recommended objectives designed to drive sales productivity as well as houses other key admin tools in an updated navigation. Sales Navigator Application Platform (SNAP) PartnersWe’ve updated HubSpot’s Sales Navigator integration to give users the ability to include LinkedIn connection requests and InMail as Tasks in their HubSpot Sequences, and complete these tasks without ever leaving HubSpot. CRM EnhancementsWe're making it easier to connect your CRM to Sales Navigator by providing an option to connect using "Read-Only" admin access. Note: This will not allow users to use some Sync-related features that require writeback to CRM.* Account Center MigrationThe Account Center will continue to ramp to contracts with less than 50 seats. * CRM Sync is only available to Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales and Salesforce CRM for Sales. Friendly reminder about the PointDrive transition:A reminder that on May 30, we will fully transition PointDrive to Smart Links. Customers who have uploaded files to the PointDrive platform should copy them to an alternate location of their choosing in anticipation of the change.
